How It Works

We offer two beautiful ways to preserve the cherished memories of your wedding bouquet:

​​While there are similarities in how we handle your flowers with care and precision, the steps involved in each process are distinct. 

Pressed Bouquet Preservation Process

Pre-Book Your Bouquet Preservation

  • Contact Us: Complete our contact form to secure your date. Indicate your preference for a pressed bouquet and the desired frame size.

  • Contract and Deposit: Based on your style and size specifications, we’ll forward a contract. Confirm your booking with a signed contract and a $150 deposit.

Flexible Delivery Options

  • Delivery Methods: Choose between drop-off, shipping, or pickup (fees may apply)

  • Timing: Deliver your bouquet within 5 days post-event to ensure freshness and quality. The bouquet must be kept in water and in good condition upon receipt.

  • Payment: The remaining balance is due before we begin the drying process.

Expert Drying Process

  • Pressing: Upon receiving your bouquet, we carefully deconstruct it and press each bloom.

  • Drying Time: Different flower varieties have varying drying times. The entire drying process takes approximately 4-6 weeks.

  • Updates: We’ll keep you informed once your bouquet is completely dry.

Frame Colour, Background, and Design

  • Consultation: Once drying is complete, we’ll update you on the results.

  • Customization: Confirm your frame colour from our 7 modern options, choose between a floating frame or matte background, and finalize the design/layout for your pressed piece.

  • Guidance: We’ll guide you through every step of the decision-making process.

Creating Your Piece

  • Reconstruction: We will glue back together your flowers.

  • Adding Pigment: If necessary, we will add pigment to your florals to achieve a more desirable colour.

  • Laying Out: We will arrange your pressed bouquet on the background paper or glass.

  • Gluing: We will glue your piece onto the background using high-quality archival glue to ensure its longevity.

Framing

  • Final Step: Frame and seal your pressed art piece.

Homecoming Ready

  • Completion: After approximately 4 months, your custom-preserved bouquet art piece will be ready to grace your home.

  • Preserving: Upon receipt, we carefully deconstruct your bouquet and place each bloom in silica gel to dry.

  • Drying Time: Different flower varieties dry at different speeds. The complete drying process takes 4-6 weeks.

  • Updates: We’ll keep you informed once your bouquet is completely dry.

Resin Layout and Design

  • Consultation: Once drying is complete, we’ll update you on the results and discuss the design of your piece based on your flowers and chosen shape.

  • Design Options: Most shapes allow for either a central design with negative space around the outside or a design starting from a corner with negative space at the top. We’ll provide recommendations and help you select the best option for your flowers.

Resin Work

  • Pouring: After confirming your layout, we will begin the resin pouring process. Our pieces take anywhere from 8 to 16 thin layers of resin to coat your flowers. We pour one layer a day.

  • Finishing: Once the piece is completed, we let it dry for about a week.

Finishing Touches

  • Demolding: Once the piece is fully dry, we demold it.

  • Sanding: Each piece is carefully sanded.

  • Top-Coat: If necessary, after sanding we will apply a top coat to improve any imperfections.

  • Polish: Our final step is always giving each piece a nice polish.
